Daring outfits, crazy hairstyles and tears and jeers mark the third eviction and probation weekend

In a ‘wow’ weekend that was characterized by incredible displays of talent and zany fashion tastes, Alice was evicted and four other contestants put on probation.

The music galore kicked off on Saturday during the elimination show when the three contestants on probation performed to an eager live audience that had armed themselves with placards and an upgraded cheering passion.

Linah performed two songs that earned her raving reviews from the teachers; followed by Alice whose performance was the target of flattering comments from the judges.

Wendy wrapped up the night’s performances and the Kenyan received a standing ovation from the excited fans, including one who wielded a placard with the message ‘Marry me Wendy.’

Wendy’s father, Linah’s Cousin and Alice’s boyfriend were among the hundreds of fans who witnessed the trio’s performances.

But the moment of reckoning came; who would be the third Tusker Project Fame evictee? A silent edgy atmosphere gripped the audience as a representative from PricewaterhouseCoopers came to state the people’s verdict.

And when Gaetano Kagwa pulled out Wendy’s name, the decibels level from the ecstatic audience almost brought the house down. The viewers had saved Wendy!

The teachers saved Linah and thus Alice became the second Kenyan to leave the Tusker Project fame Academy. She performed her rendition of ‘Rhythm of the night’ as other contestants bid her farewell.

After an emotional send off by fans who had gathered at the TPF academy, it was off to ‘The Zone’ where a Kenya Data Networks sponsored Butterfly eviction party was being held for Alice.

She performed to the throngs of fans that had arrived at the club and to her surprise, was joined by the first Kenyan evictee, Magdalene! Together the duo rocked fans that had gathered at the Westland’s based club and signed autographs

“Thank you Tusker Project Fame and my fans…you will be hearing something from me soon,” Alice promised.

Sunday

This was the ‘wow’ day of the academy when 11 of the remaining contestants performed to escape probation. Probation Sunday also saw some of the wackiest tastes of hairstyles, dressing and mannerisms.

From Linah’s new dyed haircut, David marvelous grey suit to the daring outfit worn by Kenyan celebrity’s Kaz, the Sunday probation show proved that music and fashion belong to the same page.

Victor opened the floor with Kool and the Gang’s ‘Celebration’ and by the third performance; Judge Ian remarked that some performers were ‘wow!’ From then on the crowd took the cue and cries of ‘wow’ followed each performance.

However, by the end of the show, not all contestants had ‘wow-ed’ the judges and four of them were put in probation. They include two Ugandans, a Kenyan and a Tanzanian.

Naava, Winfrey, Victor and Hemedi will be on probation the whole week. Viewers will get a chance to save one of the contestants, teachers save one and other contestants save the third nominee.

The remaining contestant will leave the academy on Saturday.
